OK, I've had some serious cat drama for the last several days, so I'm very behind in my posting and commenting. I do have several things coming down the wire, I just need to get my act together and my anxiety under control so that I can sit down & write the posts.
Here, however, are the burgers I made to go with my homemade burger buns the other night, burgers I had to abandon in mid-meal because I had to rush Juno to the vet.
Basically, ground salmon, formed into a patty & seasoned with salt & pepper. I grilled them on the old George Foreman, and served the burger with a lemon garlic aoli, sliced avocado, and on the side I had a nice spinach salad.
Hopefully, regular food-blogging will resume shortly.

I hope it goes better with your cat soon. Dinner looks great.
That burger looks delicious!
Cheers,

Yum! Hope the cat is feeling better soon.
wow those burger buns were so good I am cautious what to say about the burgers... we are going to have salmon burgers but I doubt we will have buns this good...
What a great sandwich!! Beautiful photo too. I hope your kitty is doing better. I HATE pet emergencies, they are so stressful (even when they turn out ok).
I hope things go better with your cat, they do become family members adn salmon burgers are pretty original, they look good.
yummy yummy yummy...I would think these burgers could cause serious cat drama!!
do you grind your own salmon? and if so what do you use?
I've not seen ground salmon available in stores...
I do plan to buy a veggie juicer that doubles as a meat grinder which might be quite delightful!!
I hadn't thought I would use the grinder...but this is giving me ideas!
They are gorgeous! I can just taste them...oh man, the aioli...they are just gorgeous. Hope your kitty is better :D
Such delicious burger is hard for me to say no.
I've been in the same boat!! Sick cat. He's been at the vet (my sister-in-law is a vet, thank god!) for the past few days. She lives on the South side of Chicago, which is maybe 30 miles from me. It took my husband and I 3 hours last night to drive there and get him and drive back the Chicago traffic was that bad!
Hope your kitty is fine now! Ours is acting more normal, so hopefully no more vet bills!
This looks really good with your home-made buns. I hope Juno is doing better - the poor little thing - it breaks my heart when my cat is sick.
Gianna: I found this salmon already ground at the grocery store. This is sockeye.
Thanks for your comments, everyone! Juno appears to be doing much better. I have to talk to the vet tomorrow to make sure she's happy with the progress, but it's looking good so far. I appreciate all your encouragement and support!
I hope Juno's doing better. Poor kitty! Your salmon burgers look great! I've never thought of trying salmon this way.
