Cold Risen Buns

I just took these out of the oven. It's the same recipe I used yesterday, only I decided to make buns out of it. I egg washed them and added some sesame seeds. I'm taking these to dinner at my dad's tonight, and although he doesn't like white bread or white flour in anything, I think he'll be OK with these (if he isn't, he's nuts!). Again, I rose these in the fridge for a few hours, and like the bread I made yesterday, they rose even higher during the baking process.

Damn I'm good!

A woman of many talents, I see. Love the name.

Is it okay if I link to here from my '24-hour diner' blog? Also, feel free to add some of your own favourite recipes there - things you would love to find being served at your 'dream diner'.

They look just tempting dont they. Yummie. I am hungry anyway. But I like buns esp with gravy and mashed pots and some kind of meat.

Hi, just discovered your foodie side! Your baking looks wonderful. My bread making skills are negligble but I made cakes for my living for 15 years. Not fruit or sponge cakes but speciallity flapjacks [granola bars], caramel slices, choc.fudge cake, carrot, banana & walnut, ginger, allsort of cakes and sold them to student Tuck shops etc.

Az: the link to your diner blog doesn't seem to be working.

Blue: That sounds just like something I'd like to do at this time. Set my own hours, make what I want to, etc....

Yep,I reckon there's nothing nicer than a pair of tasty buns, smooth white and round, "oh yeah baby"
Just kidding.
Actually Her and me often indulge in a fluffy white bun topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon with a thick jam and cream centre, its disgustingly fattening but nice.

The bread and buns look great. Did your dad like them?
I'm so happy to see you baking! I'm still "blocked", but it will all work out eventually.
